Amicus CUriae RICEDH x NIKA to the african court of human and peoples’ rights: Climate Change and Human Rights

March 30, 2026:

Written observations submitted by the RICEDH to the African Court of Human and Peoples Rights in connection to the request for an advisory opinion by PALU on climate change and human rights. The written observations were elaborated in collaboration with NIKA: with our leadership (Theresa Amor-Jürgenssen and Ecab Amor Vazquez) serving as editors and coordinators of the amicus, and our team playing a key role in the design, formatting, standardization and fine detail work.

This is a rigorous contribution by a collection of highly reputable academics and specialists. The amicus contains contributions from Maria Christina Alé, Verena Kahl, Armelle Gouritin, Dilia Paola Gómez Patiño, Zulima Sánchez Sánchez, Ranieri L. Resende, Henry Jiménez-Guanipa, Theresa Amor-Jürgenssen and Ecab Amor Vázquez.
